Once, I sought a kinder heart, and forgiveness for myself and others. My prayer was answered, bringing immense gratitude and freedom from burdens like guilt and doubt. I acknowledge God’s guiding hand and his unwavering forgiveness. With a lighter heart, opportunities opened up for me and even for those I once resented.

I’m not perfect, as anyone close to me will say. I wasn’t always known for my patience (“maldita” and “patolera” sound familiar!). But with age and faith, I embraced a gentle renewal. While a spark of my fire might remain, I choose honesty and kindness as my guiding lights.

Life’s experiences have taught me empathy. I understand the pain of hurtful words, having been bullied myself. Now, I choose my words carefully, mindful of others’ feelings.

Life unfolds in shades of grey, not just sunshine and rainbows. Negativity and competition exist, even among those we thought were close. True, it can be disheartening to see friends consumed by a “win-at-all-costs” mentality. But instead of getting pulled into that negativity, I anchor myself in a different truth: the transformative power of love and support, as embodied by Jesus. Just imagine a world where we uplift each other, celebrating each other’s victories and offering a hand up in times of struggle. That’s the kind of world I believe in, which I strive to create, even when faced with negativity.

My journey towards a kinder me is ongoing. There will be moments when doubt and negativity whisper lies, making it tempting to prioritize myself over others. But choosing kindness isn’t just about feeling good – it’s about creating a ripple effect of compassion. Imagine a world where we celebrate each other’s successes, not compete. I’m determined to contribute to that world, one kind act at a time.

With open hearts, may we all choose forgiveness, kindness, and understanding in a world that often forgets its power. ❤️ To those I shared journeys with, though our paths have diverged, a piece of you holds a special place in my heart. Praying for your happiness and growth wherever life takes you. While our stories may not intertwine again in this chapter, I hold the hope that in another, filled with understanding and light, our paths might reconnect.

Ephesians 4:22 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
